Ethan Yu '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal in college is to gain the finest education in entrapreneurship at the best institution; while continuing my passion for tennis by earning a spot on your team. Ultimately my education comes first, but my dream is to be able to combine both academics and tennis at the next level.

I have always been raised in an environment that put God first, Family second, with tennis and academics third. I believe the way I was raised has taught me to excel in everything because I was not allowed to neglect any of my priorities. Therefore because I wanted excel in tennis I had to excel academically; as well as continue my faith in action through ministries such as missions trips. My journey through tennis thus far has taught me to be 100% committed to the task at hand as well as to always maintain a determined work ethic.

Some attributes that I will bring to the team are leadership as well as respect and a willingness to learn. For example, my Freshman year I earned the number one spot on a squad composed almost entirely of Seniors. Which put me in a unique position of having to be a leader but also having to learn from and be respectful to the Seniors. That is one reason I believe that I will make an excellent addition to any squad because I can step up and be a leader but I can also step back and learn.
