Since a young age, I have loved playing sports. I began baseball when I was 5, and I started playing tennis at the age of 7. Until the end of 8th grade, baseball was my main sport. It was at this time that I realized that tennis was the sport I loved most. I quit baseball and began playing tennis full time, rigorously training and becoming dedicated to the sport. I have been hitting 4-6 times a week and on top of that working out in order to increase my physical performance on the court. I love the competitive aspect of tennis, the challenge of competing at a high level, and the training that gets put into that. Most importantly, I have fun playing and it has become my passion. As a freshman, I made varsity and was scheduled to play #1 doubles with a senior, but unfortunately the season was canceled due to Covid. This year, we have been playing regularly and I have been rotating between #1 singles and #1 doubles. I finished off the season with a 16-6 overall record and placing 3rd in conference and 2nd in sectionals. Also, I believe it is important to mention that I am equally dedicated to my academics, extra-curriculars, and giving back to my community. I play the upright bass in the Wind Symphony at school, and I volunteer for a special needs baseball league. I am looking forward to the future and am excited to keep improving my game.
I have a Youtube channel with clips of me hitting. My username and channel are linked down below.
