As a 5 year old playing Madden in the basement, I devoloped my passion and love of sports and competition. Being one of the smaller guys, I always had to work extra hard to compete. I began playing tennis my freshman year, at 5'4" and less than 100 pounds, after randomly playing club tennis with the high school tennis coach over the summer. I made the junior varsity high school team and there began my passion for the sport. As a freshman I started out at the bottom of the ladder and cheered on my teammates as I worked every single day to get better. By the time I was a senior, playing varsity, now 6'2 and 150lbs, I played 1 doubles and won the Nebraska State Championship. I was a 2 year letter winner and awarded conference honors, the Heartland Athletic All-Conference and Academic All-Conference awards, as well as being named first team All-State. Through this experience I learned the value of teamwork, work-ethic, sacrifice and commitment.
I am looking for a program that will be a good fit academically, which would have a Sports Management or similar program, as well as let me continue to grow and develop athletically. I am looking to become part of a team that has the same passion for tennis as I do and is ready to compete every single time I step onto the court. I believe I can bring character, and strong leadership skills to your program.
