My goal and aspiration in college is to become the best version of me and continue to find out who I am and have confidence in that. I just recently came out to my mom as being apart of the LGBTQ+ community and I think college will be a great way for me to continue to develop my character and build confidence in myself as I overcome the adversity that arises. I also want to get a great education, continue to develop my tennis, and use every experience to reflect and grow. I am a great candidate for any team because of my vast life experiences. Where I have been treated differently because I am black and apart of the LGBTQ+ community, I always make sure to make everyone feel included and be there for people through tough times like my support system has been for me. Through my experiences I have learned how to be compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and how to think before I react. This, as well as many other things, will make me a great teammate and help me be able to motivate, inspire, and connect with the people around me in a way that will help us all reach our potential on and off the court. My life experiences and overcoming adversity is what drives me to be my best self everyday in athletics, academics, and with my character.
