My name is Cormac Brown and I am a 5'11" 170lb distance runner from Darien High School in Darien, CT. This year as a junior, I recorded two undefeated regular seasons in XC and Outdoor Track; with a total of 14-0 first-place finishes in XC. Following both seasons, I was named MVP and elected captain for the upcoming seasons.
In addition to XC and Outdoor Track, I also swim competitively at the varsity level for both my high school; Winning the first state championship since 01' in 2018, and Chelsea Piers, one of Connecticut's most successful swim teams, ranked 19th in the USA for 18 and under. Through every XC and Track season, I have participated in both my high school and club teams. Although I have made a serious commitment to dedicate my time every day to two sports. Nothing compares to running. I know that my time in the pool has tremendously benefitted my pursuit to run in college and shows my unparalleled dedication.
Though I love running, my number one priority when choosing a college is academics. I understand that student comes first in student-athlete and I hope to find a school with outstanding academics and a reputation for having a competitive running program.
Given the opportunity to run in college, I know that I will thrive and put forth the dedication to accomplish all present and future goals.
