One of my goals and aspirations would be playing women's ice hockey at the college level. Ever since I reached the age of about seven or eight years of age, I have always found a huge interest in playing ice hockey. It wasn't right away when I found myself interested in the position of a goalie, originally I found myself interested in defense. I played defense for a few years, but my attention quickly turned to goalie as I was "craving" to play the position, and still do when I am off ice. My mindset started to change over the past 2 years as someone I loved very much, started to grow ill; my mother. Her constant love and support for me during the season made me want to play even more. Every game I competed in would make me think of my mothers body fighting against the cruel disease she had, Breast Cancer. Transforming the other team into the immediate enemy, I would always play my hardest, never giving up because I knew that was what she never did. Her love and devotion to driving me to every practice, game, and training session always left me in shock. I finally made the decision to play college ice hockey early in my freshman year, in high school 2018. My mother said to me that she had wanted me to keep working hard in hockey and to play always.... I enjoy the sport more than any other sport I have ever played as well as the camaraderie of my team-mates and it always leaves me wanting more ice time.
