Personal Statement

My name is Grant Dubiel and I have been doing track and field for 2 years now, and started throwing in my sophomore year and loved it. I am mostly self taught in discus and shot put. Have never had a true throwing coach available for me. My sophomore year i placed 4th in our 7A region, sectional qualifier and honorable mention for all county. My junior year I placed 2nd in our 7A region, placed 1st in the county and was a sectional qualifier and was named 1st team all county. From my sophomore year to my junior year I went from a 118'10" to a 134'7". My goal is to compete at the collegiate level and hopefully compete at a high level.

Looking at all other throwing athletes, I can be separated from them because of my high potential. I throw at Cherokee high school in Canton, Georgia. If I were to get a coach to work with me I know my distances will improve a lot. Working harder to try and teach myself has helped me learn how much time and effort it takes to be great. I am a good student as well am hoping to go to a 4 year college and get a degree. I can help many teams with my potential to be great and am willing to learn and be the best.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
