The reason I started running track and why I want to continue is because it brings me a sense of clarity and warmth, as if I was supposed to be doing this ever since I was born. I have always been a hard worker by striving to achieve greatness in anything I do. When it comes to track I want to grow mentally and physically because the more I practice or race, is the more I want to achieve even better results and greater lengths. When it comes to anything I am not afraid of failing because how do you expect to grow when you are not willing to fail and grow off of that failure. I am hungry when it comes to getting results and I will always be aiming for the top no matter the cards that are dealt.
This does not just apply on the track though, this also goes for the classroom. I invest myself seriously when it comes to dealing with both track and the classroom.I currently have a 3.4 GPA and it is steadily rising. I yearn for more knowledge, learning has been a sort of hobby for me. My biggest motivation in the classroom would have to be my Dad, due to him having having high hopes for me because he know my capabilities and all of my accomplishments, I have always sought to bring as much knowledge as I can to the table to assure my parents that I have academic safety and I am able to achieve anything I wanted through hard work and determination. I would make a good candidate to any teams on the collegiate levels because I am constantly improving, helping out teammates with anything whether it is a personal thing or little, willing to learn and always have a good relationship with my coach. In all the time I have been playing sports I cannot remember a single coach I have had that has not been able to push me to the best of my abilities.
My athletic background is pretty solid. I used to play basketball for two years, I used to play soccer for 5 years, and I swam for 2 years. Although this is not me participating in the sport, i am also the schools basketball team manager, so I am able to maintain a lot of responsibilities. I stopped playing those sports not because I did not enjoy the sport, but because I did not feel like it was where I needed to be. When it comes to track I do not have the feeling, I actually have a different feeling. I feel that whenever I run track it is exactly where I need to be, its something I have to do. What I feel makes me different then any candidate in character is that I am willing to learn from my mistakes, I have a hunger to get what I want, I always seek to do better weather it is asking for advice from coaches or practicing by myself everyday, I am willing to risk anything to be where I need to be, and I am perpetually growing everyday, evolving and morphing into the type of man that coaches need on their team, no matter the cost, I am willing to take that risk.
