I love to compete and I love to run, which made the sport of Track and Field perfect for me. I have been running track competitively since 8th grade, due to my parents who influenced me to run because they also ran track when they were younger. I have learned so many lessons through the years in this sport, and so many things about myself that I never thought were possible. Whether it be to never give up, to never back down from a challenge, or the ability to have mental toughness, there are a multitude of lessons I've learned from Track over the years that have helped me both in the sport and in life. I learned these lessons not only through the success I've had with the sport but also the obstacles. I've been injured, I've lost races, I even had to completely switch my event to the 400m and change my training last year for the success of the team and the success of my High School Career, but with those obstacles it created those lessons I've learned, and have made me a better runner and a better athlete. With those obstacles, it made me into a Conference Champion, a Division Champion, and near the top of my County. Even in the event I just switched to, the 400m. I believe I can help out any team and be a suitable candidate for any school that wants me due to a variety of factors. I am extremely competitive and will always give my 150% effort no matter what. I am also a team player and a team motivator, I am the Captain of my Track team for this upcoming Winter and Spring seasons, and I believe more importantly than my own success, is the teams success. And lastly, I have a passion for this sport like no other. I love Track and Field. I love to get better, to get faster, to race, and to workout. This sport is my life, and I am excited to continue that passion.
