Ever since middle school running has offered an outlet to not just get my mind of things, but to be able to show my competitive side as well as have fun training with my teammates. I would like to be able to run in college to continue this journey and to continue striving for higher athletic and academic goals. I believe that I would be a good fit on a college team due to my ability to get along with the other members quickly and intuitively, allowing me to become a part of not only my own racing experience, but theirs as well. Regarding my athletic career thus far, I have been a part of two state teams, including one that placed second in the class A NY championship race. I have posted times of 4:29 and 1:58 on the track for the 1600 and 800 meters respectively as well and am hoping to improve those times in the upcoming seasons. I am currently a junior enrolled in full International Baccalaureate program, which is considered the most rigorous curriculum in the school that I attend. Other activities that I enjoy are studying piano and up until now, I had been a part of the school's symphonic and jazz bands.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Steven Segal
