I have always pushed myself to do my best and excel in school. In college, I plan to continue to push myself by applying for honors programs. I want to major in accounting to pursue a career in that field. I think that my drive to go above and beyond in my classes will make me a strong candidate at any college.
I also am driven to push myself in athletics. I compete on the indoor and outdoor track team where I participate in sprinting and hurdling events. I suffered a tibial tubercle fracture during the outdoor season of my freshman year. The injury took me out for the rest of the season but also pushed me even more to come back and improve my times. I was determined to never give up which is a valuable asset for any high school or college team.
