Gavin Wheeler Jav...Personal Statement
I am a track and field athlete from the small town of Carleton Place, Ontario. I have been throwing javelin and discus since the spring of 2019 and have been throwing shot-put since early 2018. I train and compete with the Beckwith Athletics Club every night and train at my schools gym every morning before school. I am determined to compete at the highs possible level I can and will do whatever it takes to get there. Although I have only been throwing for one year I have seen massive improvements throughout last season going from a 111-5 to a 146-10 in competition and a 154-8 in practice with a 800g javelin.
