Ikemdinachukwu Aginam '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi College Coaches,  

I currently live in Ottawa,Canada were I attend St.Joseph Catholic High School. I'm actually a 2 Sport Athlete (Soccer & Track), I'm originally Nigerian, but for the past 12 years I' ve lived in Asia (Japan:7, Malaysia:5). This makes me an international student which separates me from a lot of recruits, as I've competed against top international & local kids, and studied at American International Schools. My goal as an student- athlete my goal is to attend and academically and athletically challenging university that can push me for the next 4 years. I've competed in one of the international high school competing in Asia called IASAS, where as a sophomore I made the 400mH final, 4th in the 4x400m, 9th Overall in the 100m and 110mH, all this being my first major Track & Field Tournament.  I'm a 400mH, but I can also perform the 100m, 110mH, and 400m. I also have the current 4x400m school record at my old school, as the lead runner. Ive been characterized as a fun, enjoyable athlete amongst my peers, that works hard in training, and tries to make track more enjoyable, and not stress in the big moments. I always try and have fun with track, and like to stay positive even after a bad race. I would love the opportunity to take my talents to the collegiate level, and be installed in a good academic institution.   I plan to major in Sports Marketing/Media Broadcasting/or Journalism. Starting track late in 9th grade has motivate me to get better everyday and fulfill my dreams.
