Personal Statement
Five years ago, when I first ran track, I had little confidence and did not enjoy it nearly as much as I do today. During my high school career, I've worked hard and grown heavily passionate about the sport. As my love for the sport has grown, so has my commitment. I have been constantly progressing and I want to push myself to be the best runner I can. Over the years, I have come to realize the physical and mental mindset behind this sport. I run two individual events and one relay, so I value teamwork and the importance of good sportsmanship. In college, academics take priority over my sport. I couldn’t imagine my track career ending in high school.
