Riley Gould '21 Recruiting Profile

For these past four years of Cross Country and Track I haven't considered it running or competing, I've acknowledged it as warfare. Not only am I going to war with my opponents, but I'm going to war with body, and most importantly my consciousness. And throughout the duration of my high school career, I never cease to come out on top. I've earned the opportunity to compete at the State Championship all 4 years of Track and Field, and Cross Country. I've grasped school records, yet none of these compare to my greatest accomplishment. Conquering my mind. The confidence that Running has given me is a misconstrued blessing. This confidence has allowed me to prove not only to myself, but to others that if you conquer your mind, you can conquer your body, and subsequently, you can conquer your goals. So as I prepare to embark on my athletic crusade throughout the collegiate level, I hope I can infect other athletes like myself to overcome their doubts and fears.  And further motivate not only myself, but other athletes, to continue to shatter records and Break barriers.
