My goal for running in college is to get into an NCAA final in Cross Country or the mile and 2 miles for the track. Currently, I have achieved times of 9:44 for the 3200m and 4:29 for the 1600m. I look to improve upon these times as I have set goals of sub 9 for the 3200m and sub 4:15 for the mile. I will achieve this by not just becoming stronger physically but by practicing to push myself in the middle of races which is the toughest part for me. Ever since I decided to become a runner I have always focused on giving my best effort consistently over a long duration of time. I have always believed consistency was the key to being successful as anyone can run fast due to a lucky break. This is why I also believe that I would bring a positive attitude, and the will to give my 100% to any team I join. Along with running for my school and club team, I strive to maintain a 4.3 GPA or above and involve myself in other extracurriculars like Chorus to get my brain thinking in creative ways. Both of these goals are going well as I currently have a 4.25 GPA and have been accepted into many prestigious choir groups like All-District Choir, and ACDA National Choir. I believe I have the potential to get into a Division I school as I have the dedication, perseverance, and balance skills to excel in multiple areas of my life.
