Hi, my name is Mason Miller and I am interested in participating in track at the collegiate level. The track has always been a place for me to showcase my talents and athletic ability. I love to compete, and am continually willing to put in the hard work to accomplish my goals. During my freshman track season, I achieved a time of 12.25 in the 100M dash and a 25.66 in the 200M dash. My sophomore Spring season I achieved a time of 12.04 in the 100M dash and 24.41 in the 200M dash. During the summer I competed for a club team where I achieved a time of 11.66 in the 100M dash and 23.64 in the 200M dash. As the past year has shown, I am very capable of improving my times and will continue to improve them to hit collegiate level times. Along with my athleticism, I am also an exceptionally good student. Currently, I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and am taking Honors Math and English classes, along with a college-level engineering course. I would love to compete at the collegiate level so I would have a great place to grow, become a better athlete and student, and continue living a healthy lifestyle.
My hard work and determination to excel, are the reasons I have been able to achieve my accomplishments in high school so far. For example, my hard-working mentality in athletics was seen during the off-season this year between high school and club track. This past spring I was not satisfied with my times I achieved during my season. I then decided to continue to put work in after the season which lead to me lowering my 100M dash from a 12.04 to a 11.66. This work drive is not only limited to athletics. Throughout my high school career, I have taken a rigorous course load including honors, AP, and college-level classes, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
I would be a great candidate for recruitment due to my hard work ethic, great athletic ability, and aptitude to hold exceptional grades while being involved in athletics. Furthermore, I enjoy being a part of a team and working together to achieve a common goal.
