Keoni Teng '24 Recruiting Profile

I’ve starting playing volleyball when I was 11 years old. I started out on Beach and starting getting reps in and my mother (coach) started training me to play adult tournaments and junior tournaments as well. I’ve played club volleyball for one season with A5 Volleyball indoor and that’s the only experience I had playing competitively indoors. Now I help coach a club team indoors for the 14 national team and I’m still able to play tournaments outdoor, whether it’s grass or sand, I just want to play volleyball. I thrive on helping others succeed and I love helping others out, if it’s my team or partner, I want to get better if it’s myself or the team as a whole. I’ve always been told I’m too short or I don’t have the ability as the tall players does, I use that as fuel, motivation to push me to get better and to prove not only the critics wrong, but to prove myself I have what it takes to get to the next level.
