Hello,
My name is Ocean Vuong and I play the Libero position for Aloha State Volleyball Club 18s and Kalani High School. Volleyball has always been a huge passion for me, and I am looking to pursue it further into the collegiate level.
Along with volleyball, I am very passionate about school as well. I am an honor roll student (3.8 GPA), and love to challenge myself by taking Advanced Placement courses. I love new extracurricular opportunities and have taken culinary arts, photography, piano, and a foreign language. I believe giving back to the community is a key factor, and I spend falls coaching my middle school volleyball team at Kaimuki Middle School and spending hours in community services.
Everyday, I try to improve myself whether it’s the mental, physical, or social aspect of the game. I constantly look for opportunities to get better, as I believe even a slight 1% improvement daily can accumulate overtime to a big success.
If given the opportunity to play at your college, I am confident to excel and leave a positive impact on your program. Personally, I will work hard to be the best version of myself and make an impact in the volleyball community.
Thank you,
Ocean
