As a student athlete, I have been always playing sports since a very young age but could never find a sport that I loved to play and also good at. Then in 7th grade I tried out for my middle school volleyball team not knowing anything about the sport. From that point on I fell in love with the sport. I had many struggles going into high school volleyball, but wouldn't give up. I decided to play club where my skills would be tested in the game and in school. It taught me to balance sports and school which has helped me significantly as a person. As a whole volleyball has taught me many skills such as leadership and teamwork that help on and off the court. Also playing club has taught me to adapt to all different positions, like playing outside for 2 years in club and also setting in high school. Volleyball is my passion and I enjoy every minute of improving myself as a player and person and strive for that extra competition.
