Volleyball, as a sport, has always been important to me because it helps me grow and learn with my peers to work together as a team towards a common goal.
Volleyball has helped me understand that not everything in life has to be solo and you need people to trust that can help you when things get tough.
I am considered as one of the captains for my volleyball team and I have taken the steps needed to pursue this sport as I grow older to benefit myself and the people who play with me.
Being considered as a captain for a team meant my attitude had to be right and I had to learn how to keep an entire team under control for a coach to work with. Building relationships with new people i’ve never interacted with outside of the sport was hard but I pushed through.
