Personal Statement

Volleyball had become my true passion my freshman year of highschool. Freshman year was my first year ever playing and being for sure not the best, it lit a spark in me. It became a goal to get better and the pandemic was a time I became determined to get better. With hard work, I became a varsity starter my sophomore year. Being an undersized outside hitter, it can become challenging to play, but also the mental game. Comparing yourself to someone who doesn’t lack the height, the skill and the physicality to play. I try to use it to my advantage. The goal is to play volleyball in college, at any level. While being a student-athlete, academics are my priority to keep playing the sport I love. Being an athlete helps your understand being in a team, to understand people different than you. These skills are transferable into the classroom and into the real world.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
