I began my volleyball path Freshmen year with no prior experience. I played varsity Freshmen and Sophmore years as a middle hitter. I was looking forward to my Junior year high school season which has been cancelled due to Corona Virus.
I am a quick learner and really enjoyed playing so I decided to move onto additional playing time by being a practice player for A2 volleyball club on their national 16’s and 18's teams my sophmore year. I was not able to play in many tourneys during sophmore club season due to conflicts with the basketball season. This year, Junior year, I wanted to gain a higher level of competition and develop myself so I have chosen to concentrate on volleyball. Leaving basketball was difficult because I have been playing since the fourth grade. I have enjoyed a lot of success with basketball including being a part of the high school team going to the final four last year. I realized I was leaving behind the opportunity to be the (5) starter for the team my Junior year. I made the decision to focus on volleyball to become a better player and create an opportunity for myself to play at the next level. In order to do so, I had to leave basketball behind due to the conflicts with the travel club. I believe the two sports helped me develop in many ways, I really tried to find a way to do both for as long as I could but I am excited for this next chapter and the season ahead of me. I recently signed to join Vanguard Volleyball Club for the 2019-2020 season.
