My collegiate goals and aspirations are simple, improve as a person and a swimmer. I look forward to education at the college level, but also swimming at the collegiate level. I plan on swimming in college as well. I think I’m a good candidate for your team because I enjoy swimming and the friendships that come along with it. It is also a way for me to be competitive and stay healthy, as well as calm my stress levels.
I view myself as a good candidate for your team because I am very competitive and have a strong desire to do well in all aspects of my life. I am one who is willing to put in the work to be successful and stay competitive in both my academic and athletic life. My character sets me apart from others because I may appear quiet and calm when you first meet me but as you get to know me you see my determination and how I work well with a team. I bring a drama-free attitude, and love to support my teammates, and help them achieve their own goals.
My athletic abilities set me apart from others because of my love for distance swimming. I am willing to put in the work, time, and effort to not only train daily to be the best distance swimmer I can be but to stay fit and focused. This pays off during each and every race as I push myself to my limits to compete.
When you first look at my academics you may think I’m like every other student-athlete, just average. However, what you don’t see is the time and effort I’ve put into my academics and the obstacles I’ve had to overcome. ADHD and Dyslexia have at times made it difficult to keep up with classes. As each year passes I’ve become more and more skilled at managing these challenges and meeting them head-on. I regularly put in extra study time and have learned to master an efficient way of studying that works for me. I advocate for myself, and first, try to complete tasks and study independently, but I’m not afraid to ask for help or clarification if I need it.
