Sean Babbitt '20 Recruiting Profile

I first became interested in water polo when I was swimming with Pleasant Valley Swim Team in Camarillo, California.  My eldest brother played water polo in high school and after watching some of his games I told myself I could not follow the black line on the bottom of the pool anymore.  I told my parents that I would like to play water polo.  I've been playing for six years now and I absolutely love it.  Currently, I am beginning my junior year in high school where I will be a starting player for my high school water polo varsity team.  I have also been elected as the team captain.  On another note, I just wrapped up my 2018 club year with South Coast Water Polo Club where my team and I competed at Junior Olympics in San Jose, CA this July.  My team won 5th place in the 16 U Classic Division!  I also was named MVP of my high school water polo team for the 2018 season and made the 2018 second all league team for the Coastal Canyon League. 

Water polo has influenced my life in many ways such as better focus in and out of the pool, perseverance, dedication, time management and good sportsmanship.  Along with my parents,  my coaches play a big role for me and I look to them for guidance and mentor ship in and out of the pool.  I feel blessed to have found a sport that I am truly passionate about and love to play.

School is very important to me and I have finished my sophomore year with a 3.3 GPA.
