Hi there! My name is Alexander “Sasha“ Kogan and i’m a High School Water Polo athlete part of the class of 2024. I currently live in Brooklyn, New York and attend school at North Shore Hebrew Academy High-school. I’ve been playing since 2016 for Ypro Water Polo as a Wing who mainly focuses on defense. Offensively, i’m not a top option to score however on the other side of the pool i’m more than capable and ready to guard any position and any player. I stand at roughly 5”7.5 with a weight of roughly 180 Pounds. I’m somewhat bulky and swim on an above average level, which helps me be agile while on transition defense. I’m a locker room guy who always is able to bring team mates together, and i am always a hard worker in practices. I believe i make a good fit for a college Water Polo program because my defensive ability can truly help change the course of a game and my willingness to get better and learn is something that stands out from other players. I am able to work with whoever, and my main goal in any game is one thing: to win and to play the best way i know how too. Academically, i’m very solid, and my favorite subjects are History and English. I’m not an A+ Student however i still show good results. I don’t see myself playing Water Polo in the future professionally, however i would very much like to play in college. My main goal is to become a Sports Psychologist and work for a team and or organization. Sports has always been a passion of mine for my entire life, and i love talking to people to help them work things out or cope with something, which helps me be a good locker room player. This just scratches the surface about me, and to anyone who has read this, thank you for taking the time to check me out!
