My name is Alexis (Lexi) Kuka and I am a 2025 fastpitch softball pitcher. I play for Eagles Fastpitch 16U based out of San Mateo CA, and I play on the Varsity team for Hillsdale High School. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my Freshman and Sophomore years, taking advanced standing English and History.
I began playing softball when I was just five years old and have loved it ever since. At the collegiate level, I hope to be allowed the opportunity to compete at the highest level playing the sport that I love while also growing as a player and as an overall person. One thing that you should know about me is that I am a hard worker, always striving to improve myself and play hard for my team. For example, in 10U when I didn’t make my league’s all-star team, I decided that I had to prove to them that they were wrong to not have me on their team by working hard outside of practice to become the best player that I could be. Due to another player quitting, I was placed on the all-stars team and I kept working and I became not only their starting pitcher but the number one pitcher in my entire age division of the league the following season.
Softball has provided me with many exciting experiences. In 2019, at the age of 12, I was selected as one of two girls to play baseball in Japan as part of the San Mateo/ Toyonaka Sister City exchange program. I tried out and ended up beating out a bunch of guys who had been playing baseball their whole lives for a spot on that team. I traveled to Japan with 18 boys, stayed with a host family and we crushed it playing against three Japanese teams. I have also played in three All-American Softball Youth tournaments where I received the Ace Pitcher award in all three tournaments and the Division MVP award in one of the tournaments as well. And don’t worry the pandemic hasn’t slowed down my progress at all, in fact in January of 2023, I participated in “the most prestigious indoor fastpitch softball tournament in the world”, known as The Cup which is hosted in the Netherlands each year. Whilst participating in The Cup, I played against women from all over the world, some of whom play at the professional level for their home countries on their national teams. It was an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my profile sheet. :)
