Alexa Dabai '21 Recruiting Profile

I have enjoyed playing sports my entire life. I started swimming when I was 10 months old and I fell in love with the water immediately. Freshman year I made the decision to play volleyball, although I enjoyed volleyball, I did not have the passion for it. As a sophomore, I decided to try out for the water polo team,  and I quickly fell in love with the game. Two weeks into the season I was brought up to Varsity where I received a lot of playing time. Although I was new to water polo I was lucky to have amazing coaches to guide me. I love being in the water and pushing my limits. Water polo has made me realize that I am capable of doing more. The camaraderie of the swim and water polo teams taught me to be strong for my teammates, hardworking, and take the lead when it was needed. I learned to manage my time between academics and sports helping me to maintain my grades. I am looking forward to a college experience where I will thrive academically, athletically, and grow personally.
