My name is Maya Grande and I am a junior at Archmere Academy in Claymont, DE. I have been playing softball for 6+ years, and I fell in love with the game the first time I stepped foot onto the field. As a hard-working, motivated, passionate, and competitive athlete, I believe that I am able to contribute at a high level. As a freshman in high school, I was the starting shortstop for the varsity team. I hit leadoff for my school team and second in the lineup for my club team. I study the game and enjoy the opportunity to be coached to make myself a better player.
When I am not on the softball diamond, I am a responsible, attentive, proactive, and conscientious student. I have maintained a 3.97 cumulative GPA in high school and take part in honors classes. In addition to both softball and academics, I play soccer and am a member of my high school marching band, along with several other clubs. I enjoy collaborating with other students, in order to stay connected and give back to my school. My goal is to attend a strong academic school and continue to play the game I love.
