Hello, my name is Cami Saltsgaver. I am currently enrolled at Armstrong High School. While softball is super important to me, my schooling is just as important. When I make it to college, I am wanting to go into criminal law and keep my grades up while being out on the field.
Playing t-ball usually gets kids ready for their school seasons. This was not the case for me. In my 5th and 6th-grade years, there was no school softball team. I kept playing in rec leagues. In the 7th-grade year, we were finally allowed to make a team. Our school was small, with not that many players. In my 8th-grade year, we made it past the first round of regional's and made it to the semi-finals. We came up short and that sparked my motivation to work hard to make it farther later on.
I tried to progress my career by joining travel teams. I have played for three years, going on four. I have played for 3 travel teams altogether. This has given me a lot of exposure to different kinds of players from different areas, and different coaching styles. With each team, I have been exposed to many different positions. I am able to adjust to meet the needs of where I am placed on the field.
