Janae Holloway '19 Recruiting Profile

    I am a 5'3 140 lb. shortstop from Aurora, IL who will graduate in 2019. I played Varsity Softball my freshman and sophomore year at Aurora Christian High School and earned 2nd team All-Conference. I transferred to and completed my junior year at West Aurora High School where I earned a spot on their Varsity Softball team. I primarily played shortstop and second base. While we were eliminated early in the sectional competitions, I felt that my new team was solid and that I contributed strongly to our performance. I was named 1st Team All Conference, Academic All Conference and Honorary Mention for the Fox Valley All Area Team. 

    Softball is my passion and I would enjoy the chance to play in college. I am one who consistently sets new goals for myself and am very determined to work towards accomplishing my goals, on a daily basis. I am also a person who is excited by the opportunity to learn new things both on the field and in the classroom that will help me become a better person and a better player.

   I'm seeking a college where I can receive a great education while still playing the sport I love. Receiving a college education is a very important aspect of my life and I am very open to all different types of colleges across the country. My academic focus is to pursue a major in Biochemistry and minor in Sociology with the goal of entering into a forensic science career upon graduation. I also enjoy learning different languages so I am interested in continuing my studies in Spanish and American Sign Language.
