Tara Wilkes '17 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to play DII or DIII Softball at a college that has high integrity/values while simultaneously being able to excel in my field of study. I want a college that focuses on academics, just as much as athletics.  As shown by my GPA of 4.8, I set high standards for myself in school to get the best grades possible. My work ethic from school transfers into the dedication I have for softball. Nobody will outwork my efforts on/off the field. I also take pride in my ability to slap, hit left-handed, bunt, and even switch over to the right side because it makes me unique from other recruits. I take direction well and others feed off my passion, hence why I am the varsity captain as a junior. I can play left field, center field, right field, shortstop, second base and fill in as an emergency pitcher if needed. I am also faster on the bases than most high school/college recruits. Most importantly, I am looking for the perfect fit college that can fulfill my dream of playing softball in college while pursuing my field of study.
