I play softball simply because it is an outlet. It is a place where I can be myself, and I can really be aggressive and competitive. I love the way softball makes me feel. It makes me feel powerful, and in control. I control everything about the game. How I do at my at-bat, and how I compete in the field. I control how I react to certain situations, whether its bad or good. I think that’s why I want to play softball so bad, because I am in control.
When I step onto the field, everything that had been floating through my mind disappears. Im focused on being my best, and to compete with strength and determination. I'm the type of athlete that will dive for a ball that I know I wont be able to catch. I will make adjustments so I can succeed. I'm the type of athlete that starts with an 0-2 count and ends up getting a triple, because I'm not afraid to fight. If I had to describe myself with one word, it would be "AGGRESSIVE"!
I would like a coach who doesn't try to change me, but a coach who brings out the best in me, for softball, for the team, and for the school.
