Personal Statement

My Name is Shannon MacLeod. I am a member of the graduating class of 2024 at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA. I am a right-handed pitcher, 1st base, and utility player.  I am a driven and focused 3 sport varsity student-athlete. Softball has been my sport ever since I started playing when I was little. I would love to get the opportunity to play the sport I have fallen in love with at an academically challenging school. I believe that I have the motivation and determination to put in the work to get myself there. Since I have a hard work ethic and positive attitude which has distinguished me from other players, I am a Captain of two of my teams as a Junior.  My love for science has drawn me to a career in the medical field and, more specifically, in oncology.
