The moment I stepped out onto the court, I knew that basketball was what I wanted to pursue. I love the feeling of being on the court and working with my teammates to achieve something special. I have always wanted to dedicate myself to basketball and dreamed of playing in college. I am very coachable and always trying to improve. I work very hard every day to prepare and always leave everything out on the court. This has helped me to play hard at both ends of the court. I have been able to maintain a high GPA with challenging course loads which include several honors classes and one AP class, while also participating in a peer mentor program and doing many extracurricular activities at my school. I like to be challenged academically and challenged on the court; these challenges help me to continuously work hard to aim for success. Basketball has taught me hard work, dedication, discipline, to deal with losses, but most importantly it is to be of service to something greater than yourself. Ultimately, I hope my hard work and commitment provide me the opportunity to continue to serve a basketball program and school at a college level.
