My name is Raeann Shockey and I am 16 years old, I am currently a sophomore at Shields Valley High School in Clyde Park Montana. I come from a ranching family, and I am a softball player. I have played this sport since I could walk. I have lived In many different places, and every time we moved, I would seek different contacts to try and find a new softball team. That is what made me really feel at home, where ever I lived playing the sport I love. Living in a small town in Montana creates a challenge of having enough people to make a team, or if there is no local team, how far you have to travel to be part of and play on a team. Currently, I drive 60 miles one way, over a mountain range just to go to practice. This has made me understand the commitment and dedication it takes to be part of a team, In order to play competitive softball. Going to tournaments throughout the western states requires even more time and travel, sometimes spending four nights in a hotel for a two day tournament. I would love the chance to be able to practice, play, and be in a college atmosphere where everything is centrally located. I understand the dedication, time, commitment and extra effort it takes to play on a college level team. I am really excited to hear about your softball program and how I can fit in and contribute to the organization. https://prezi.com/view/DGUckvxqBdM8Xp1Fzmyb/
