Allisson Pena-Tavarez '22 Recruiting Profile

The first time I saw the diamond, I fell in love with it. I knew that softball was the sport I wanted to be focused on. That feeling of stepping at the batter's box and hitting the ball to get on base.  As soon as I heard about school tryouts for the team, I got everything I needed and did great. Over my first season I was starter. I was one of the team's catcher and 3rd baseman.

I'm a leader in relationship to sports or academics. In sports, I take the game very serious. My dicipline is always first. Being respectful in both school or club team. In academics, I always do my best to keep a high GPA. Based on the grades but also on the knowldege that stays in my brain.

I have played softball since February of 2019, but I was taught catching and batting since I was a Kid by my dad and brother who has been playing since he was 5 years old.  Since I started playing I knew I wanted to be involved on it, and planing on what college to go, with the thought "If it doen't have softball, I'm not interested",

I'm interested in medical fields, and inspirated to be a surgeon. Mantaining my GPA as high as I can and working hard on softball, looking for a chance to get to team USA if possible.
