My name is Joana Gomez. My primary position is shortstop, I also have a solid bat. I am a returning varsity player and captain at Nazareth Regional High School in Brooklyn, New York. My best asset is my passion for the game. I maintain a good mindset both on the field and in the dugout, Several people have told me that they can see how passionate I am about the game. As a player and as a person, I always have a philosophy of "we > me" and would go to any length to make my team better. I plan on pursuing a career in psychology,The discipline and structure I've developed through softball and hard work will help me achieve not just on the field and in my academics, but also in my profession and in life. Softball is more than just a game with a bright ball; it has touched my life in several ways. Softball is the reason I've built relationships not just with coaches but also with players, family members and it is how I established friends.
