I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old. It was intramural ball until I was 10 and then we traveled locally. I had already played every position except 1st base and started to acquire a love for pitching. At that time it was modified underhand. I was introduced to a windmill coach and I began to practice everyday. Every summer since then I played travel ball in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. I was accepted into Mark Twain Junior High School for the Gifted and Talented in the Athletics talent. It is ranked #1 in the city of New York. I have been on Varsity Softball for my high school since freshman year as a starting pitcher and led them to Division A Brooklyn-Queens Champs for 2013. I was named MVP in 2012 with a 12-2 record and I received Defensive Player of the Year in 2013. I will be Captain for the 2014 season. I will be graduating in June 2014 at 17 years old. I am looking forward to the college experience while playing softball. I understand the commitment to academics first, but I truly believe I could be a committed and highly motivated student athlete. I absolutely love pitching and one of my biggest dreams is to be pitching for a college team and helping the team achieve a winning record! I want to get my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a Master's concentrating on Sports Management. I would like to teach high school students and would strongly consider working with physically disabled children. I would like to be a coach one day and I plan on giving pitching lessons to grade school children while in college, if possible. I would like to one day marry and have children and make them have a love of sports as I do. I dream about being in some professional sports organization as a trainer. Most of all, wherever I wind up in the future, I want to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I meet.
