My name is Sydney McIntosh and I am a Kenmore West High School senior, class of 2018. The search for colleges for my future has started and I’d like to represent a school that I can study in the medical field and continue playing softball. Sports have been a part of my life since I was three, starting at the YMCA. Sports have played a major role in developing the person I am today. After being competitive in soccer, volleyball, and dance, my heart fell with softball.
My goal for college is to use my academic strengths to receive my degree, along with my athletic motivation to be part of a team. I wish to continue to play softball in college and choose a science major that will get me ready for admission into medical school. I currently play Varsity softball at Kenmore West High School and Travel softball for New York Inferno. Academically, I am enrolled in Honors and Advanced Placement classes, with a current average of 98.5%. I was also inducted into the National Honor Society on April 4th, 2017 after being a member of the National Junior Honor Society and maintaining honor roll status since then.
Please know that I take my responsibilities as a student and player seriously. I hold myself to high expectations, while at the same time, I try to encourage and bring out the best in the people around me.
