Emily Bulone '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Bulone . I'm a two-sport student athlete who goes to Jamesville-Dewitt Senior High School in Dewitt, New York. I play softball, along with soccer.  I remain committed to training throughout the year and being a part of a team at all times.  While each sport that I play holds a special place in my heart, my passion for softball has brought me to the search for a college team.

I currently play softball for a travel team/organization Syracuse SportsZone. I am currently the starting catcher and play 3^rd bas.   My love of softball began at the age of 5 when my father introduced me to baseball, and the experience that I have gained over the years has helped me develop into a full utility player who can hold several other positions on the field, including first and second baseman, and any placement in the outfield. I am consistently ready, and often called on, to play anywhere that I am needed.

My love for the sport grows daily. When it comes down to commitment, my personality and eagerness play a huge role in that category. I train daily, working to push my body further than my mind might be willing to go. Being a student athlete has taught me a great deal about hard work and dedication. My peers have asked me how I could possibly have the time or energy to play another sport, or how I can choose a workout over a party. I don’t always have a direct answer; I hope that my actions reveal my reasons. Since I am familiar with how much is at stake, I am always willing to put in the extra time as well as effort. I am aware of the amount of sacrifice that it takes to become the most successful athlete I can be

My vision is playing at the D1 level for my college years. On top of being an athlete, I enjoy spending time with my family and little brother Sal.  I love to complete puzzles as I find this relaxing and challenging at the same time.  Balancing my Academics, athletics, training and down downtime is difficult at times, but I have learned great time management skills to be able to stay focused and on point.
