My name is Sara Brefka; I first started playing softball when I was ten. I would watch my sister play softball with my parents, she played throughout middle school and high school. When I would watch her play, it really got me interested into the sport, and I knew that I too wanted to play softball. My first level of playing was 12u. Additionally, I played for little league, 14u, and 16u. One of my accomplishments as a softball player was when I was twelve. Even though I was twelve, my skills allowed me to play for the higher level 16u team with the older players. Being that I was very young and playing with older girls, this opportunity allowed me a chance to develop and enhance my catching and outfield skills.
