Alyssa Weigand '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alyssa Weigand, I am a 2026 graduate from Glen Cove Highschool in Glen Cove NY. I play three sports over the course of the school year, Varsity Softball, Varsity Volleyball and, Varsity Track. I am a starter on all three teams and these past two years I have received All County for softball. To me, softball is more than just a game. I have been playing since I was 6 years old and it has become a major passion of mine. Softball has given me so many opportunities and memories that I can’t wait to make more of as I continue my career. Over the past couple years, softball has taught me about team work, leadership, hard work and determination. I hope to use these important skills further down my path and to benefit me moving foward. 

I strive to succeed in both Academics and Athletics. I have made the principals honor roll every quarter since the beginning of my freshman year and I plan on continuing that. These past 2 years I’ve been inducted into Math Honors Society and National Honors Society. I was pulled up to play varsity softball in 8th grade and that team has become my family. They have helped me push myself to be the player I am today. I am a catcher / utility and I love having the freedom to feel comfortable anywhere I am put on the field.
