Gianna Nicastro '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Gianna Nicastro a 2024 graduate from Standrofd H. Calhoun High School in Merrick, New York. I currently play for Team Long Island 18u for Shawn Fitzgerald. I just turned 16 this August and I am 5'8 and 135 pounds. My primary position is Pitcher, I have reached 60 mph and I have 4 mastered pitches. I also play shortstop and can also be used as a utility. 

 I am enrolled in all honors courses such as  Biology, History, Geometry, Spanish and English Seminar as well as several AP courses. My area of interest is dental medicine. 

A few characteristics that set me apart from others is my hard work ethic, attitude and perseverance.
I’m a goof ball at heart but I know when it’s time to go to work. I put the team before myself and am willing to do whatever my coach asks of me.
