Ella Stewart '23 Recruiting Profile

            My name is Ella Stewart. I will am a Junior at Orchard Park High School and will be graduating in 2023. I was recently inducted into the National Honors Society for my grades, leadership skills which were developed playing sports and my volunteerism.  I believe in giving back to my community. I recently coordinated a Suicide Awareness softball game to help raise awareness. 

I am a 3 year Varsity Softball starter. I was called up during my 8th Grade season. I also play travel softball for UNY Revolution 18U. My primary position is 2nd Base, but I also play outfield. I am a line drive hitter and I hit to all fields. Softball and baseball are a huge part of my family life. I started playing softball when I was five years old and I have loved the sport ever since. I look up to my older sister and brother who also played in college. My sister is currently the starting catcher at St. Bonaventure University. 

            My goals are to find a college where I can play Softball at a high level while getting a great education. I see how great it can be to be a college athlete. The bond you have with your teammates and coaches are something that can help make the adjustment to college life and the friendships that can last long after college is over. I am looking for a college that offers an education major as my goal is to become an elementary school teacher. Having a brother and sister that have been through the grind, I understand how hard it is to be a student athlete but I am always up for a challenge. I am super excited for the opportunity to continue to play softball in college and to be able to experience all of the exciting things that go with it.
