Softball has been a part of my life since I was four years old, and I've been in love with it ever since. This sport has not only helped me to become the best player I can be physically, but also mentally. Throughout my years playing softball, my drive, passion, and love for the game has only increased and I am ready to take it to the next level. Softball has taught me the importance of dedication and work ethic, things I believe a great player possesses in order to help make their team the best. In addition to these characteristics, I also believe I have a strong sense of leadership; this was shown when I was 1 of 6 student athletes chosen in my school of 1600 to attend the Student-Athlete Leadership Academy (SALA). Not only do I believe I have those three characteristics in addition to the competitiveness that is necessary to be able to play at a college level, I also have the coachability and discipline every coach wants as a part of their team.
As I have gotten older, it became more difficult to balance challenging advanced classes with year-round athletics, but I have maintained an honor roll level GPA. This shows that I have the motivation to excel in academics while being a well-rounded student-athlete. Right now I am unsure of a major but I would like to be involved in some sort of musical group at my future school since that is one of my other passions. I am very interested in the performing arts and it is a passion of mine, so I am looking to attend a school with music programs and studies that will fulfill my interests academically.
As well as the strong mindset to always excel in academics, I am always ready to push myself and teammates to dominate on the field. I am strong and agile, as a shortstop and utility player, and as a fast learner I am able to grasp new skills and concepts quickly. I come to every practice and game ready to play and make myself and teammates better.
Thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing my profile, and I look forward to the challenges ahead of me to achieve my goal of playing softball at the college level.
