Alana Jergenson '21 Recruiting Profile

   I am a hard worker, very driven towards my goals, and I love showing people what I  can do when I am on the field.  I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my parents who have supported me through the countless practices, lessons and long weekends at the ball fields.  Yet, there is always more work I need to put in and there are always spots in my game that I can work on to improve, no matter how good of a season I may have had.  Once we finish one season my job is to get better and prepare for the next!  I want to find a coach and teammates who want to win and succeed as much as I do and that are not afraid to push themselves to the limits to find even small improvements in their game.  Please don’t think I am no fun though, I love to joke around and have fun!

   Besides playing Softball at the highest level I can while in college, I am going to pursue a degree in either an Animal or Marine Science program or pursue a degree in Psychology.  The type of educational degrees offered will have a large part to do with the college I choose to attend since I understand that I may not always have Softball to fill my spare time at some point, I may need a real job to help pay bills.  I have had my mind set on these fields of study for a long time, mainly due to my love of the outdoors, animals and being in or around water and the life it holds.  I just hope I can find a great fit for me to combine two of the loves I have in my life.
