Playing at the collegiate level has always been a dream of mine, but ultimately my goal is to gain a great education. I am not sure of what I want to do as a career or educationally, but I know I will want to do something in the sports field. I enjoy almost every sport, but baseball and softball are my favorites. Being a student athlete is a very exciting opportunity. I want that to be a part of my years at college.
I love the game. Even after trying out many different sports, like gymnastics and dance, I found I liked softball the best because it was a team sport and I enjoy most everything about the sport. During my 6 years as a softball player, starting with rec ball, I have learned many things such as perseverance, determination and to give it my all on and off the field. From the beginning, I have always strived to move up to the next level. I’ve always played my best when I know the competition is greatest.
I am a strong contributor on any of my past, present and future teams. One of my unique characteristics is my ability to rebound quickly from any adversities. I don’t let a strikeout or error effect me in the next play. Another thing I do well is my instinctive baserunning. Finally, I have a high softball IQ at every position in the field. This allows me to play any position my team may need me to play.
