Peyton Cook '24 Recruiting Profile

I began playing tee-ball at three years old, and then moved to softball at age seven. My love for the game began during my first year and has continued to grow. Softball has taught, and continues to teach me many skills that I can use throughout life, not just in the game. Originally, my primary position was third base, but my team was in need of a catcher. I was willing to take on the challenge, and I quickly fell in love with the position. I may have a shy personality off of the field, but as a catcher, I have learned to become more vocal and how to be a leader. I currently play travel softball with the Diamond Dawgs, with my middle school team, and with an American Legion Lady Fastpitch team, in addition to playing in our local recreational softball league. I was on two state championship teams: one in 8U (2014) and 12U (2019). Additionally, I was on a state runner-up team in 12U (2018), and my travel team won the 12U Winter World Series in the fall of 2019.

Academically, I have always pushed myself, making my education my top priority. I plan to continue that challenge throughout high school with honors classes to help prepare me for college.
