Ali Glover '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ali Glover, I am a Senior at South Stanly High School. I started my career by playing baseball at the age of six or seven, and then switched to rec softball at the age of eight and have been playing since. Seeing other pitchers made me want to learn how so that I could be like them or better. Being the very competitive person I am, I have worked and am working hard to make sure I don't waste my God given talent. Being on the mound is what I do best. I thrive under pressure, during the one run ball games with the girls cheering as loud as they can, parents jumping up and down, umpires having to make those game defining calls. There is no better feeling than striking a girl out, or having her hit a little bloopy pop up or grounder because of the spin on the ball. Then having your whole team and coaches go crazy when you make a diving play in the outfield, turn a double in the infield, or stretch for that ball being thrown to you at first and end up doing a split. Those are the moments I live for on the ball field. My parents have always been very supportive of me and will continue to be the rest of my career. They believe in me, and I hate to disappoint. On the flip side, when it comes to my academics, I try to be just as good and do good in all my classes even if it is something or someone (the teacher) I may not particularly like. I believe that my future is in playing college softball, and then going on to become a coach, assistant coach, or pitching coach.
